One of the propellers on the Reeve Aleutian Airways Flight 8, breaks off the plane and comes hurdling towards the body of the plane directly towards flight attendant Wendy Kroon.

On June 8th, 1983 the propeller of an ageing Lockheed Elektra passenger plane rips loose and rips a hole in the lower fuselage. A rapid decompression causes the cabin floor to collapse. Flight attendant Wendy Kroon (played by Lindsey Fraiser) falls to the cabin floor. Flight Engineer Moose Laurin (played by Brad Borbridge) helps her back to her feet.

One of the plane's 4 propellers has separated from the engine and ripped a hole in the underbelly of the plane. The collapsed cabin floor has pinned some vital flight controls, making it nearly impossible for the pilots to control the airplane. Kroon knows the landing will be rough, and needs to make the perilous journey to the back of the plane to assist with the mergency landing.

Flight attendants onboard Reeve Aleutian Airways Flight 8 cope with a sudden emergency as the Lockheed Elektra experiences a rapid decompression after one of the plane's propellers comes loose and rips a gaping hole in the fuselage of the Lockheed Elektra passenger plane. The flight attendants must first ensure that passengers are receiving oxygen while the pilots struggle to bring the plane to a lower altitude.

A passenger onboard Reeve Aleutian Airways Flight 8, a commercial fisherman (played by Bill Yack), struggles to breath after a propeller cuts a hole in the airplane at an altitude of 18,000 feet. Until the pilots can bring the crippled plane down to a lower altitude, passengers will need supplemental oxygen.

Reeve Aleutian Airways is flying at 18,000 feet when one of the Lockheed Elektra's four propellers separates and rips a hole in the passenger plane. The thinner air at this altitude makes breathing difficult for the 10 passengers on board. As the pilots try to bring the plane to a lower altitude, passengers put on oxygen masks to help them breath.

After the propellor severs all the cables that control the engines the pilots reduce speed by turning off the number two engine and prepare for an emergency landing in Anchorage, Alaska.

The Lockheed Elektra has been circling Anchorage for hours as the pilots try to find a way to gain enough control of the plane to attempt a landing. The plane was disabled when a propeller came loose and tore a hole in the fuselage, jamming vital flight control cables. Over time, by forcing their control columns back and forth, the pilots have regained marginal control of the plane. But they cannot control the plane's speed. They will hit the runway extremely fast, and are unsure if they'll be able to bring the plane to a safe stop.

The propeller rips a giant hole in the Lockheed Elektra's underbelly, trapping vital flight control cables.

Flying thousands of feet above Alaska, Wendy Kroon (played by Lindsey Fraiser) must climb over a hole in the cabin floor to reach the back of the plane. With help from a commercial fisherman (played by Bill Yack) she climbs over seats to avoid the hole, which was made when a propeller came loose and slammed into the Lockheed Elektra's underbelly. The hole has pinned vital flight controls, making it nearly impossible to control the plane enough to execute a landing. Kroon must prepare passengers for an emergency landing.
